Academic Advisement What Students and Parents Need to Know 2023-2024 and Later
Students entering high school starting PRIOR to the 23-24 school year are required to take the following courses for the traditional 24 credit diploma:
- 4 Credits of English
- 4 Credits of Math (MUST include Algebra 1 and Geometry)
- 3 Credits of Science (MUST include Biology)
- 3 Credits of Social Studies (MUST include World History, US History, American Government, and Economics)
- 1 Credit of Performing Fine Arts, Speech, Debate, or Career & Technical Education
- 1 Credit of HOPE
- 8 Credits of Electives
Students entering high school starting in the 23-24 school year and beyond are required to take the following courses for the traditional 24 credit diploma:
- 4 Credits of English
- 4 Credits of Math (MUST include Algebra 1 and Geometry)
- 3 Credits of Science (MUST include Biology)
- 3 Credits of Social Studies (MUST include World History, US History, American Government, and Economics)
- 1 Credit of Performing Fine Arts, Speech, Debate, or Career & Technical Education
- 1 Credit of HOPE
- 7.5 Credits of Electives
- 0.5 Credits in Personal Financial Literacy
