Testing accommodation information
If a student has an IEP, 504 plan, or ELL Plan with testing accommodations, there is a separate application process for requesting accommodations for the ACT, CLT, or College Board (including PSAT, SAT, and AP).
Accommodation Requests through TCHS
The fastest way to request and receive a decision on accommodations

- Complete a consent form (click the link to download)
- Submit Consent Form to TCHS
- For students with a 504: submit the consent form to the student’s counselor.
- For students with an IEP: submit the consent form to the student’s ESE case manager.
- Consent Form Submission Process
- For students with a 504 plan, the School Counselor will submit the consent form and documentation to the Testing Coordinator, who will then submit the request to ACT, CLT, or the College Board.
- For students with an IEP, the ESE Case Manager will submit the consent form and documentation to the Testing Coordinator, who will submit the request to ACT, CLT, or College Board.
- Approval Process
- ACT TAA approval process can take up to 10 days. The TAA Program will notify the TCHS Testing Coordinator when a decision has been made.
- The CLT Accommodations approval process can take up to three weeks. When a decision has been made, CLT Accommodations will notify the Testing Coordinator.
- The College Board SSD program approval process can take up to 7 weeks. Students will use their contact email address to access their profile on the new College Board SSD dashboard. Here, they will view their accommodations, track pending requests, and download decision letters and notifications for Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD).

Approved for ACT Special Testing?
You are responsible for working with the school to test within the special window. If you do not contact TCHS to schedule testing, test materials will not be shipped. If TCHS is unable to administer the test, please contact ACT as soon as possible. ACT contact information is linked here.
