Academy of Innovation in the Built Environment

Academy of Innovation in the Built EnvironmentThe electives in the Academy of Innovation in the Built Environment (code: TCHSIBENV) will offer students an opportunity to explore careers in the various fields of Construction Management. Students will have hands-on experiences in design and construction, participate in job-shadowing rotations and gain real-world experiences in the construction field. This academy is focused on developing a deep understanding of construction management related industry certifications, and innovations in construction design. Engineering, design, and project construction management are integral components of the course. Projects allow students to experiment with materials and learn safety procedures that are integral construction concepts.

Academy of Future Healthcare Professionals

The electives in the Flagler Health+ Academy of Future Healthcare Professionals (code: TCHSHEALT) offers students a unique opportunity combining classroom learning with real world experience. Students take an honors level core curriculum at TCHS and in their senior year participate in a shadow rotation at Flagler Hospital. Students mastering curriculum have the opportunity to earn an industry certification as an EKG Technician. Students are encouraged to join the curriculum-based club, HOSA, to complement their academy experience.

Academy of Leadership in Emerging Technologies

Academy of Leadership in Emerging TechnologiesThe electives in the Academy of Leadership in Emerging Technology
(code: TCHSETECH) will emphasize the use of emerging technologies and the leadership, entrepreneurial and technical skills needed to be successful in rapidly changing industries using future technologies. This program provides students with the content and skills essential to the design and operation of robotics, including artificial intelligence, sensors, electronic devices, engineering technologies, motion physics, electrical motors, programming, simulation and modeling and critical thinking skills. Fields related to the design, construction, coding and use of industrial, medical, or commercial robotics will be emphasized. Students will immerse themselves in the use of drones, robotics and design elements/software and equipment related to current industrial, commercial, and medical applications.

St. Johns County Academy of Future Educators

The four-year curriculum, rich with dual enrollment opportunities, embraces a core of exploratory teaching courses which allow students the advantage to begin student teaching while in high school. In addition, the program provides a seamless articulation with and transition to teacher preparation programs in Florida’s University system. Through the academy concept, students are offered small learning communities, college-preparatory curriculum with a career theme, and partnerships with employers and/or mentors.

Collegiate High School Advanced Academics Program

SJR State’s Collegiate High School (code: TCHSCOLL) is a Dual Enrolment Program that creates an opportunity for a cohort of eligible students to enroll in college level classes and earn their Associate in Arts degree, all while still enrolled in high school.
