Graduation Information
Graduation is a special ceremony celebrating our seniors’ accomplishments. For the safety, security, and enjoyment of all in attendance, there are specific rules and procedures. Failure to follow these rules and procedures will prohibit you from participating in graduation. Please read this section carefully and make sure you understand your part in making graduation a special event for all involved.
Cap Decorating
Only 2-D decoration representing a university, college, or military branch is allowed. No quotes or pictures. Caps that violate decorating guidelines will be taken at graduation inspection.
Graduation Dress Code
Graduates need to be appropriately dressed, respecting the formality and tradition of commencement. We require business professional attire. Boys should wear nice pants and dress shoes. Girls should wear a dress or pant suit, and appropriate footwear. Jeans, shorts, flip flops, or sneakers are NOT allowed. Graduation gowns are custom keepers.
Graduation Tickets and GPA Honor Cords
Each student will be given at least TBA TICKETS. Children aged two (2) years of age and under are not required to have a ticket but should also be held in the lap of an attendee. If you do not use all tickets, we ask that you GIVE your extras to students who would like additional tickets. Selling tickets is not permitted. You must have a ticket to get into the ceremony.
Seating is first come, first serve. Disability seating is available. If you or a guest is physically impaired, please contact a Senior Sponsor for additional information.
Graduation Honor Cords are only allowed for approved GPA recognition, honor societies, and academies. Clubs may NOT wear cords.
Graduation Rehearsal
The MANDATORY GRADUATION REHEARSAL is at UNF on TBA. You must attend this rehearsal to participate in graduation.
