Dedication
Give 100%, 100% of the time.
Don’t be a selective swimmer/diver.
Don’t put yourself above the team.
You have got to love swimming/diving.
Grit
To gain “grit” you must have passion and perseverance. To gain “grit” you have to have “sticktoitiveness,” a diligent spirit, and nagging conviction.
To gain “grit” you must accept the fact there will be failures and setbacks.
Sportsmanship
Be supportive.
Have a positive attitude.
Be respectful.
Be willing to learn.
Practice self-control.
