Katelyn Sargent grew up in northeastern Pennsylvania where she attended Clarion University of Pennsylvania and earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Athletic Training. In addition to being a full time student, she was also a competitive swimmer on the Clarion Women’s Swimming & Diving team all 4 years. During her summer’s in college, she was a beach lifeguard on the Fenwick Island Beach Patrol in Fenwick Island, DE. After college graduation, she went on to earn her graduate degree and received her Master’s of Education in Educational Leadership at Northern Arizona University.
Katelyn began her career after graduate school at University of North Georgia, where she primarily worked with and took care of the men’s soccer and women’s softball teams. From there, St Augustine called her name as she then accepted a position at Orthopaedic Associates of St Augustine where she was also the Head Athletic Trainer at St Joseph Academy. After 3 years, she then became the Head Athletic Trainer at Pedro Menendez High School, where she has been serving the Falcons the last 7 years. Katelyn is excited to become a Toro and be a part of opening a brand new school!
Katelyn, her husband Nick, stepson Jackson, and goldendoodle Lucy love to spend time at the beach, going to football/basketball/baseball games, being active, traveling to new places and cheering on Penn State, Michigan, and the Jags!
